Student Work:
Metaphorical Trees

Nature in the city, in this case a tree in the city, can serve as a metaphor for issues related to other disciplines. This assignment gives students the opportunity to demonstrate how to contextualize their understanding of the human relationship with nature in the students’ own disciplinary studies, using metaphor, analogies and illustration. The Summer 2021 iteration of the course ‘CCHU9058, Nature in the City’ can be viewed by clicking this link to its exhibition space.
